Tsurumi Junior College
Tsurumi University was established by Sojiji, the head temple of Soto Zen Buddhism, to offer higher education based on Zen philosophy. The word “Zen” is now used around the world, and the practice of Zen, called “Zazen,” attracts the interest of people everywhere.
We aim to develop individuals who seek truth, offer kindness and sympathy to others, and move continually forward to develop character and intellect. At the same time, we encourage social involvement and investment in local communities. Our desire is for all graduates to both master their field and become community leaders.
We are now preparing an exciting college experience for all our students and propose to bring out the unique qualities of each individual at Tsurumi University.
