Message from the Director of the Tsurumi University Dental Hospital

Since its opening on April 1, 1970, The Tsurumi University Dental Hospital has been dedicated to providing first class dental and medical clinics, education for under- and post-graduate students and cutting-edge research in oral medical science. The hospital also contributes greatly to general oral health care in the wider community, meeting social needs and expectations. The Hospital has 248 units of clinical equipment, 32 beds for in-patients as well as state-of-the-art treatment courses, research and educational facilities. The Hospital serves as a medical institution providing treatment for patients covered by National Health Insurance, and other health insurance schemes, for elderly people, children and others requiring special treatments. Not only that, the Hospital also accepts persons with severe mental and physical handicap which are difficult to treat at ordinary clinics, and patients requiring advanced treatments (jaw-line and facial prosthodontics). In this way, Tsurumi University Dental Hospital functions as a highly reliable and valuable medical institution in the community.
